Privacy policy

This site has no accounts, no login and no database of visitors. The only personal information it ever receives is what you type into the contact form, and that is relayed to an inbox rather than stored.

What we collect

If you use the contact form: your name, email address, subject and message. These are sent to our inbox by email so we can reply. They are not written to any database, added to a mailing list, or shared with anyone.

If you only read: nothing that identifies you. There is no account to create, no newsletter signup, and no tracking pixel placed by us.

What we do not collect

  • No accounts, passwords or profiles — the site has no login.
  • No payment information — there is nothing for sale.
  • No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies set by this site.
  • No selling or sharing of personal information with third parties, ever.

Third parties that see a request

Serving a website necessarily involves other companies. These are the ones involved here, and what each one receives:

  • Netlify — hosts the site and runs the contact form function. Netlify records standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and operational purposes.
  • Cloudflare — sits in front of the site as a CDN and may set a strictly necessary cookie to identify malicious traffic.
  • Google reCAPTCHA — runs on the contact page only, to stop automated spam. Google collects hardware and software information and behavioral data for that purpose, subject to Google’s privacy policy and terms of service.
  • Resend — delivers the contact form email. It handles the contents of your message in transit.

Fonts are self-hosted from this domain, so no request is made to Google Fonts or any other font provider when you load a page.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare and reCAPTCHA may set their own as described above; both are strictly necessary for security rather than analytics or advertising, which is why there is no cookie banner asking for consent we do not need.

How long we keep contact messages

Contact form messages live in an ordinary email inbox and are kept only as long as they are useful — typically until the conversation is finished. Ask us to delete a message and we will.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export the personal information a site holds about you, and to object to its processing. Because the only personal data here is contact form correspondence, exercising those rights is usually a single email. Send it through the contact form and say what you want done.

Children

The guides are suitable for any age, but the contact form is not intended for children under 13. If a child has sent us a message and a parent or guardian would like it removed, get in touch and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. Material changes will be described rather than quietly folded in.
