My Personal Story With Superior Singing Method

Hey! Thanks for checking out my superior singing method review.

I know I run a website about singing but to be honest I was pretty bad at one point. I used to think I could sing – I’d always be singing in the shower, car, my bedroom. I loved it. My friends and family always said I had a natural ability.

But I Didn’t…

But then one day I decided… hey if I really want to sing I should find a producer and start making music. So I decided to send a vocal audition to a producer looking for new artists. He also gave a review – and that was a HUGE wake-up call.

He told me I had no real control of my voice and that my vocal transitions were bad. My high notes were off pitch and he even wrote at one point I sounded like a squaking bird. 🙁 Not cool.

I Had To Get Better

So like anyone would do I hit the internet and tried to find tips on how to become a better singer. Needless to say, the information out there was pretty basic and didn’t help me. I needed some REAL advice and actionable steps to improve my voice.

Buy Superior Singing MethodI found a bunch of online singing lessons and was determined to try every one until I became the perfect singer.

The one that stood out the most at first was Aaron Anastasi’s Superior Singing Method. (See more about it here)

I decided to check it out and couldn’t find any decent reviews on it, so I just bought it. It was probably the best move I ever made (risk free at that – Aaron offers a 60 day money back guarantee).

Huge Improvements

After only a few days of practicing the vocal exercises in the course I already noticed a huge difference in how much more on-point all my sung notes were.

It was crazy because before this I always thought I was always on pitch. But boy I was wrong.

And once I started training my voice properly I could immediately notice the difference.

The best thing for me about the superior singing method course was the fact that the vocal exercises that Aaron includes are exclusive to the course.

These aren’t your run of the mill vocal exercises but ones specifically designed and crafted by Anastasi to help you properly train your voice to sing the correct way.

Of course, there were other reasons I chose to buy this course first – the 60 day money back guarantee made sure I wouldn’t waste my money on a singing course and not end up getting better.

The included bonuses were nothing spectacular but were definitely a great addition for the price. The bonuses are:

  1. How To Sing Harmony (video by a 2-time grammy winning producer)
  2. Complete guide to performing live
  3. Guide to music marketing (learn how to make money with your singing)
  4. Superior Singing Vocal Training Manual

My favorite was the How To Sing Harmony video. I forget the name of the producer in the video but he’s great.

Final Recommendation

All in all, the Superior Singing Method was one of the best investments in my voice ever. It was the first course I tried, and after I felt like it could’ve been my last – because I thought my voice improved that much. (Of course, it’s never good to stop learning)

I’d definitely recommend this course for ANYONE (beginner or skilled) that wants to become a better singer. The stuff you get in this course will really take you to the next level in terms of vocal control, pitch, voice projection and so much more. It helped me out a ton, and I’m sure it would help you to.

What You Get In Superior Singing Method – In Depth

The Superior Singing Method is a great course for people who want to learn how to sing and for singers to become much better at what they do. The course was made by a renowned vocal coach and professional singer named Aaron Anastasi and he’s done a great job of providing a bunch of different lessons within the course that are broken down into sections designed to help you improve one step at a time.

Inside The Members Area

When you first make your purchase you’re instantly granted access to the private members area. Here is a quick couple screenshots of what it looks like inside.

Superior Singing Method Members Area

At this page they list all the different courses you have access to. You can check out all your bonus content through this page. Once you click on the big green “Access” button under Superior Singing Method you’ll be taken to the actual main vocal course.

The Superior Singing Method Main Course Area looks like this

Superior Singing Method Members Area 2

As you can see there’s an intro video that lets you know how to use the course best. You can access the different course modules (broken down for you below) on the right hand side of the screen.

Under the intro video is where you can download that lesson’s vocal exercises – one set for male singers and another for female singers (which is pretty awesome).

How The Superior Singing Method Works

You basically work through the different modules one by one, practicing for a while before moving onto the next. There’s about 8 weeks worth of content but you’ll start seeing improvements much quicker, like I did.

Aaron also performs the exercises just as you are supposed to do and explains them in a lot of detail so that you can start doing that right away without having to many questions. All of the vocal exercises are downloadable as MP3s and so you can do them on the go or you can just fire them up on your laptop and listen to them and practice along.

There is a set for male vocalists and a set for female vocalists so this program is great for both guys and girls that want to learn how to sing or improve their existing singing voice. Males usually needs to warm up longer than female vocalists because the mail voice has a much wider range in the chest voice. On the other end of the spectrum, the voice of the female is wider in the head voice.

Is It Effective?

You may be thinking that doing the vocal exercises without somebody there to help you was going to be a hindrance to your learning. But the opposite is actually true. I was able to download the exercises while watching the video or even before watching the videos. This helped a lot. I was able to really perform them properly and without much need for help once I went through all the material.

This is mostly because Aaron goes into a lot of detail during the vocal exercises. I’ve never really seen this in other types of singing courses online. But it really helps make you more confident in the way you’re performing the exercises the way Aaron performs them with you in the recording.

Superior Singing MethodWouldn’t a Real Life Vocal Coach be Better?

I thought this at first too, but I was wrong. Beyond what I say above there is a system included with superior singing method that allows you to ask questions to the professionals.

Aaron is always there to help. Under each daily lesson you can ask questions in a special section. If you’re not sure you’re doing things correctly, or you’re having trouble with a certain section Aaron is there to help you.

Just send an email and he’ll reply with the answers you’re looking for. What’s even better is that the help system shows you all the questions that have already been asked by other students and the answers that Aaron has given. So all of your questions might already be answered and you won’t even have to ask for help.

This makes the course a really great self-sufficient, self learning online singing course.

Who is Aaron Anastasi?

Aaron Anastasi is a professional singer and a vocal coach. He’s helped hundreds of people improve their voices when singing and he brings his vocal coaching style to the videos included in the Superior Singing Method.

The way Aaron teaches you is through both video and audio lessons. There are daily lessons that you can take and most of them are one video of the time. You’re also several vocal audio exercises that you need to perform along with each lesson. The videos are shot extremely professionally and things are explained visually and not just talked about. I personally loved that.

What To Expect From Aaron Anastasi’s SSM

When you first sign up and get into the members area you’ll notice that there are vocal lessons organized into different modules. One module is one week worth of lessons. There’s one lesson for each day of the week plus a one-day break. Each lesson, however, consists of multiple exercises.

There’s a total of 31 audio vocal lessons and about 49 videos that you will have to get through. I really wouldn’t recommend trying to skip through any lessons because there is a lot that needs to be done and there might be some gems that you miss by skipping through one of the video or audio tutorials.

The Superior Singing Method Course Breakdown

Here’s a breakdown of all the different modules.

Module 1

Module one is really just an introduction into the whole lesson plan that is included in superior singing method. It’s important to watch as it takes you through all the different things that you’re going have to do. It also covers how to set up a timetable and practice schedule and everything like that.

Module one has warm-up exercises as the first lesson in week one. You learn how to warm up your voice correctly before singing. It’s important not to be impatient. You want to go through all the things in order so that you have your singing voice primed for each different exercise. If you’re anything like me you’re going want to skip through the first few lessons and that’s a very bad idea.

The first thing you want to do is read through any instructions or listen to or watch the video. Each day’s lessons will build upon what you’ve learned’s in the prior lessons. By the sixth day you’ll be practicing all the stuff that you learned in the previous five lessons.

Module 2:

Module two is all about breath management. In week 2 what you’re going to learn is how to control your breath. There’s lots of different breathing exercises and techniques that Aaron is going to teach you. Each day this week something is added or taken away so it’s important to go through every lesson.

You’re going to learn about five different exercises for your breath control for new vocal exercises and you’ll also continue with last week’s stuff.

Module 3:

This module in the third week is all about your vocal tone. Here you’ll concentrate on your soft palate control and try to eliminate the different problems you might have with your nasal cavity while you’re singing. Because the nose resonates naturally it can affect your entire vocal range.

During this entire week Aaron is going to show you how to overcome sounding like you have a cold or you have your nose really tightened up.

Module 4:

This week you will learn all about pitch. If you really want to sing like a professional star you will have to learn how to sing on pitch. Autotune isn’t going to cut it anymore. Everybody wants natural talent and natural talent always shines through the bull***.

So pay attention to this weeks module because being pitch perfect is being able to perfect singing. Aaron is going to show you a bunch of new techniques this week. You’re going to learn stuff about:

  • muscle memory,
  • sliding,
  • mumbling while you talk and
  • many other things.

It can be a little hard to get the first time around, but keep at it and you’ll get it. Mumbling while you talk, by the way, can actually be one of the causes of being off pitch when you sing.  So during week four you’ll learn exercises to try and combat this.

Module 5:

Module five in the Superior Singing Method is all about power and resonance in your voice. It’s about getting your voice out there and not necessarily all about volume. This has a lot to do with how you use your tongue and mouth while you sing. So you can learn how to control your tongue placement and the resonance of your voice within your mouth.

You learn a lot of new singing exercises this week and there will be a lot of in-depth explanation of the reasons Aaron is getting you to do the things you are doing. There’s a lot of great stuff in this module so remember to go through everything.

Module 6:

So now we’re on to talking about singing higher notes and how to mix different vocals styles and vocal techniques. By this point I guarantee you’ll absolutely be loving the course and your voice will be so much better than it was before you started the course. I know this is the case for me when I first got to this point. If you feel like you’re struggling within the first five weeks don’t worry because it’s normal. Just stick with it and you will honestly see major improvements in your voice.

During module six you can learn a lot more techniques about how to sing in your head voice and your chest voice and how to bring them together in sync. You want to learn how to blend those two different voices together and be able to go from one to the other without breaking the way the song sounds.

Aaron will teach you all the different techniques you can use to actually do this.

Module 7:

Now we’re going to get into the vocal agility that every great singer possesses. You need the ability to go from one note to another without cracking your voice or doing anything that the audience may notice.

The lessons this week to concentrate on mastering different notes and how to do vocal runs. There are several vocal techniques that are brought out in this module that allow students to begin to hit the right notes perfectly every time.

Module 8:

This is the last module in the superior singing method. It’s not actually the last module because there is also supplemental content included in the course. But this is the last module in the main course content. And believe me, by this point you’ll have an amazing voice and you’ll be wishing for another 8 modules.

This section (Section 8 of SSM) is all about advanced strengthening and advanced vocal techniques that can help you take your voice to the next level. By this point you’ll likely see insane improvements in your voice if you’ve been diligent in practicing while taking the course.

The amount of self-confidence that having a vocal course like this brings you is absolutely incredible. You will really feel like your voice is so much better off after the course.

And I felt like I could take on any sort of singing competition or live show without fear of my voice cracking or me not hitting the right notes. I really feel like a talented star. In section 8 you’re going to learn a few new things about about

  • vibrato
  • falsetto and
  • strengthening your head/chest voices.

Supplemental Content:

As I mentioned there is some supplemental content that’s included with the superior singing method vocal course.

Aaron also includes a 124 page singing manual that explains everything you ever wanted to know about how to become a professional vocalist. It doesn’t really go into the business side of things but he does talk a lot about vocal techniques and strengthening your voice.

Let’s all remember the half of this music business is all about music. Having great music is essential. This course helps vocalist like us make sure that our music is absolutely spectacular.

This book that you get really runs alongside the course seamlessly. You might not want to go through the course and then go through the whole manual. Instead you might want to take the time to do both of them together. I did this and I found it really really helped me a lot.

The different parts of the book are

  • breath management,
  • posture,
  • resonance,
  • nasality,
  • vibrato,
  • vocal registers,
  • vocal health, and
  • intonation

Bonus Modules

Aaron also includes a bunch of bonuses that you get if you sign up for the superior singing method.

Module 9:

So bonus module nine is all about performing. He will teach you how to overcome stage fright and perform at your best. Everyone gets nervous. I’ve been performing live for years and even I still get nervous. This module has some strategies to help you overcome that stage fright and really shine on stage.

Module 10:

The second bonus module [module 10] is all about music marketing. He doesn’t go a lot into the business in the regular vocal course but this bonus module shows you how you can promote your music and make money from it.

It’s a really great supplemental piece that everyone is going to need to learn about at one point in her career. Also included is something called superior vocal health. This is a PDF manual that shows you how to take care of your voice so that you always stay singing and not lose the great stuff that you learn and implement through this course.

Another Bonus!

You also get a manual called superior high notes. These are actually nine video lessons with seven different exercises that you can learn to master. It also comes with a PDF manual to read.

Finally you get a bonus called superior vibrato which is a 12 page manual on how to really use a vibrato to make your songs and your singing voice all that much better.

Final Thoughts on Superior Singing Method

All in all the superior singing method is an absolutely spectacular online singing lesson. It’s one of the best in my opinion. I’ve taken a lot of different singing lessons and I’ll have the reviews of them posted up here. The superior singing method is by far one of the most excellent ones I’ve ever seen.

Aaron Anastasi is a very professional vocal coach. He seems great and he’s got amazing techniques that’ll help you really take your voice to the next level. It’s an all-around high-quality product that is a must for anybody that is starting out or even somebody that wants to just improve their existing singing voice.

How Much The Course Costs

By the time I was done this course I honestly felt like I can sing any song in any key in any type of voice. I wasn’t afraid to take on more challenging songs. I wasn’t afraid to write songs that really challenged my vocal ability because I felt like I could handle it. It’s well worth the money and costs $97 to purchase.

You can also make it over three payments of $39 if $97 is a bit too expensive for you. The support that you get when you purchase this product is top-notch. The lessons are absolutely great and the exercises really truly help make your voice so much better. If you’re looking for online singing lesson – or you’re looking to improve your voice through the use of a vocal coach but can’t afford one – I would really recommend buying the superior singing method and going through the course diligently.

How To Make It Work For You

You really have to do the exercises to make a help you. If you just buy the course and it sits there on your computer it’s not to help you. Buy the course go through the lessons to start singing like a professional really fast. Two months is not that long of a time to go from not being able to sing to singing like a pro.

What are your thoughts? I’d love to hear from you about this course. And here’s a great video from Aaron explaining what’s new with the course. Definitely pick up your own copy of Superior Singing Method if you’re serious about singing better.

To your singing success!

  1. Hi you say on eight module or week you amazing voice and insane improvement so I wondering what was the things that improved in your voice?

    • Hi Neiman,

Honestly a lot of my voice improved overall and continues to the more I practice and do the exercises – for example I can say that I have better control over the dynamics of my voice now (singing loud and soft), I’m much better at being on pitch and even my vibrato is better. But those are just a few things – like I said its an overall improvement in how I sing

      • Hey
        Thanks for replying, 🙂

I asked because i’m doing superior singing method also, let me give you some background I brought superior singing method back in September of last year. When I got to the end of the course there was very little improvement in my voice i then found out about the diaphragm and breathing support (I know Aaron talked about it in the second week I just didn’t pay attention the first time) i thought maybe that’s why I didn’t see improvement. I went through the course again but it seem the only thing that improved was my pitch I was only able to enjoy it for about a week because I got sick on new years that just passed and had to be off vocal training for three weeks which of course kinda mess up my pitch. Recently I found out how allergy can effect one’s singing voice I thought maybe that’s a reason why improvement seem to be scares for me with the program. That promoter me to handle my allergies as well as go through the course one more time. Currently I’m in week eight just finished lesson two and there definitely been a lot more improvement in my voice then there was the first two times (like control, better breathing support, I can hold note longer, my vocal tone clearer and an increase in my voice range) but my biggest hurdle seem to be pitch I mean it still doesn’t sound… good but I’m staying hope full and still practicing but its pretty frustrating can’t lie lol

        • Hey Neiman!

That’s great to hear! Sorry for my late response. I’m glad you’re noticing a bigger improvement this time around. Like I mentioned in one of my last comment replies – it’s really about going through the course’s vocal exercises over and over for the rest of your singing life. It’s like working out – have to keep at it. And I think if you stick to the vocal warmups/exercises (do them again and again even after you finish this third time), you’ll notice everything start to improve. I’ve found improving one’s voice is all about consistent practice and exercise.

And you may have a point when it comes to things like being sick/having allergies. I’ve never read anything that states that it can affect your vocals, but it seems plausible.

It’s great to hear your tone, endurance, range and breathing is all improving. I’m sure you’ll notice a huge improvement in your pitch as well. Have you tried using a pitch training program? You can get one free online I think. That will help you get your pitch perfect.

Anyways, let me know how things work out.

          Thanks again for reading!

  2. Hi. I Was Just Wondering. Once The Program Is Done, Are You Supposed To Repeat it Or What? Does It Tells You What To Do After You Finish It?

    • Hi Luis,

It’s always a good idea to go through the program more than once. You’ll definitely need to go through the vocal exercises a few times until you have them all memorized. But I find that going through courses a second or third time really helps you pick up things you may miss at first.

And of course as for the vocal exercises included, you want to do them over and over for the rest of your singing career. It’s like working out, you can’t just get fit and then stop or you’ll lose all that muscle and strength you built.

      Thanks for the comment!

  3. Hi, I’m 4 weeks into the program and I still have trouble with singing high pitch? I sound completely off and its been frustrating, any pointers that I might be doing wrong?

    • Hmm, I’d really have to hear you sing a high note and see if you’re straining your voice, etc. Although.. I’m not a vocal coach. How often are you practicing your vocal and pitch exercises? Remember you won’t see huge gains overnight. It only comes from constant practice.

  4. Hi. I am fourteen years old in a VERY small community. I noticed that in your video that you include a book on how make money from your singing….but How does someone from such a small place get recognized for singing? I have high hopes for a vocal career but I am afraid I won’t get my chance. I have been in choir for a couple of years but our instructor doesn’t really try to help me improve my high notes since I am one of the oldest girls in the group. Any advice for a small town girl?

    • Hey Rhley thanks for checking out our blog.

You’re never to young to get better and better at singing and making small steps towards building your music career. At 14, all I can say is really work on your vocals. Getting an online singing lesson is a good start, and since you’re so young you can put in years of practice before even needing to start making money on the business end.

There’s a great book called How To Become A Singer or Rapper on (check it out here). It goes into the business aspect a lot. It talks about music marketing, touring, radio play, record labels, etc. etc. And it’s a pretty short read at 60+ pages.

There may be a few good tips that you’ll find useful at this age, but really – just focus on improving your voice and writing/recording as much music as you can. There are tons of places online where you can download beats/instrumentals and record yourself using GarageBand or another free audio program.

Don’t worry about being from a small town – I’m from a small town in Northern Canada, but that’s not stopping me! The internet is your best friend nowadays. Anything is possible. Keep your head up and keep on working on your music! The more you do and the more you learn will help things make more sense and fall into place for you.

Thanks again for checking us out!

  5. Hi. Sorry to disturb. But does the whole course come with like dvds and such? Or are they all done online?

    • Hi Amanda, no disruptin at all – thanks for commenting! Unfortunately Superior Singing Method does not come on DVDs, it’s an online only course. But I believe you can access it from anywhere on any device as long as you have an internet connection.

If you’re looking for a singing course with a physical product option check out Singorama.

  6. I’ve just started Superior Singing Method and I’m on day 3. I was wondering, how long did it take you to notice improvements?

    • Hi Anthony,

Great! Glad you’re trying the program.

Thanks for your question. It took me a week or two to notice improvements in my voice after doing vocal exercises consistently. The trick really is to do the vocal exercises daily, and practicing enough to really make a difference.

  7. Hello, I wish to know 2 things:
    1) How many times a week would I need to practise? I am currently a full-time student and in between studies and gym, I am concerned about time management.
    2) The differences to your voice- how do you get feedback on it? How do you know if you have improved or not? I ask this, because sometimes I tend to be biased about my own voice and think it is better/worse than it actually is depending on the situation.

    • Hey MIGZ,

You’re going to want to practice as often as possible. I recommend everyday. Practicing for even 20-30 minutes a day is MUCH BETTER than practicing for an hour twice per week.

I know you’re busy in school, but take out some time (maybe before bed, or while you’re getting ready in the morning) to go over your vocal exercises. Keep practicing every day if you can. It’s the best way to approach it.

As for getting feedback on your voice – don’t trust your friends/family opinions. They care about you and don’t want to hurt your feelings. The best thing I’ve found to do is to find a way to record yourself singing. Do this a few times over the course of a couple months, and you’ll be able to tell where you need improvement and what about your technique needs work.

It’s honestly amazing how much different you hear your voice from inside your own head vs. on a recording. A recording is a real representation of your voice. So record yourself singing and play it back. Then go practice some more and do it all over again until you’re happy with what you hear.

Another tip would be to record yourself singing your favorite popular songs, and then comparing the recording to the ACTUAL song. See how you stand up and make adjustments to your training/technique.

  8. Hello, hope you don’t mind but I’m a bit skeptical about this. I mean can really anyone get into singing industry if someone practises hard on this course or its just that I can see little improvement in my vocal?s

    • Hi Arun,

Yes absolutely anyone can become a professional singer. You DO have to practice lots. A lot of people think that the most famous singers are just naturally talented and don’t have to work at it. Although natural talent plays it’s part, the reason these people are so famous and successful professionally is because they work their asses off – constantly training, practicing, recording, etc.

Success can come to anyone who works hard enough, makes themselves constantly better and never gives up.

  9. I am a rapper would this program help me get a better rap voice and be able to rap faster

  10. I just bought the course last night and watched the first video. I feel a difference already. I have a naturally good voice but I need to learn techniques on how to not only improve my voice and singer better but also able to reach higher notes without straining. I am currently working on creating original very dreamy songs about mystical and spiritual stuff and my goal is get my voice to blend perfectly with it. This is also why I bought the course. I cant wait to see how much better I am after completing and following all the exercises. I thought about a live vocal coach but that would have been too expensive and possibly not right for me.

    • Hey Tom! That’s awesome – and matches my thoughts exactly. A live vocal coach can get really expensive, but this is definitely the next best thing. Glad the course is working out well for you!

  11. okay is this for real. I mean I know how to sing. My chest voice and my head voice. But i want to improve my head voice, I want to be able to sing with the power of my chest voice but with my head voice.

  12. I’m currently using this program and am now into the second week. I love the program, but I’m concerned about what to do when I finish all of the modules. I don’t want to just stagnate at wherever I am afterward. Would you suggest becoming a member on this site and using the other products, or do you believe it’s unnecessary? If I did become a member, is there any particular order to the other products that you’d suggest?

    • Hey Nick thanks for the comment, I’m glad you like the program. It really depends on you. I know its always a good thing to constantly keep learning and practicing. If you don’t want to join right away why not just keep doing the exercises you’re doing now even after the program finishes. And if you feel like you’re stagnating try the other programs they offer.

  13. I did the payment plan, how long will it be before i receive everything?

    • You should get everything as soon as you purchase since its a digital product, but contact their support if you haven’t. We do not own or run this program. We just like it.

  14. Hi there,

Would you say this program has enough information to teach even advanced singers a lot? i have a lot of information already on how to train myself, and i improve everyday, but as not only a passionate singer, but a vocal student as well, i want to keep learning and finding ways to improve even faster, so hopefully i can teach too.

I just love the topic of singing and training and such, and i think i could be a good coach, just want to keep learning and improving so i have enough credibility to be as good as i want to be.

I wouldn’t say aaron is great in that aspect, it can be difficult to trust a teacher that can’t even demonstrate the great results he promises, this is why i want to be the best singer i can be, so people can trust me as a teacher.

So would you say the program has enough information to teach even advanced singers? my fear is buying the program and finding out that all the information in it, i already know and have.

I know theres a money back option, but i don’t really want to rely on that just because i see it as just wrong, i mean is he implying you keep the program and yet get your money back? a lot of people could take advantage of that, i don’t want him to think i am doing that, but well, if its my last option, ill have to.

  15. Just learned about superior singing course. I am considering buying a course to actually get back what I used to have! I have sung professionally all my life with some blanks at times. I can sing harmony well,no trouble finding a part. I have had a really good voice range and power always. I am now 65 and still sing often. I am looking for a program to help get my high side back which used to be up there but now I have some trouble. I have always been a solid baritone with plenty of range over and under. I believe my singing bass with a group for about three years helped affect this. Can this program help correct this problem? Thks
